Eucharistic Ministers

As Eucharistic Ministers of the Holy Communion we assist the priest in offering the Eucharist during Holy Mass. A Eucharistic Minister is prepared to serve by taking classes to better understand Holy Communion, as well as responsibilities that one must undertake in this ministry. Eucharistic Ministers also receive instructions on the altar procedure during the Holy Mass.

There are currently 74 Eucharistic Ministers. Each week, 35 ministers are scheduled to serve during the weekend services, and 18 ministers are needed during the week. Our Eucharistic Ministers are always prepared to serve the Lord and the community.

We meet every two months on the last Wednesday of the month. Retreats are held once or twice per year.

The Holy Communion is taken to the Del Rio Nursing Home and to the sick that are home-bound.
